Public Works Department (PWD) contractor registration classifies and empanels contractors who want to bid for government construction, road and infrastructure projects. Without it, you generally can't participate in PWD tenders at all.
If you're also planning to bid through online tender portals, you'll need a Class 3 Digital Signature Certificate alongside your PWD registration — the two usually go together.
